Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully before purchasing any services offered by Elixir Skin Training Ltd. This Agreement sets out the legally binding Terms and Conditions and is a very important aspect of your training and must be read and understood before enrolling onto a course.
Please note that you are signing up to an intensive training course or multiple courses that requires your full commitment. You will be responsible for the time and effort you put into your theory and practice, lots of this will be required in order to succeed in this industry.
Learners can purchase courses directly from the website without any discussions around eligibility or suitability, however, it is vital to ensure learners check the “Who is this course suitable for” requirements before purchasing as incorrect course purchases could lead to additional costs for learners.
When purchasing any of Elixir Skin Training courses, learners will be invited to an onboarding session to confirm course selection and agree a tailored training plan. To purchase a course, learners can check out directly via the website, use PayPal to purchase via a finance agreement (subject to eligibility) or pay a 50% deposit to secure their place. To pay a 50% deposit, please contact Elixir Skin Training Ltd first, before making a purchase via the website. The remaining balance will be paid when practical assessments take place. All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
If you wish to purchase a CPD Accredited course and attend within 7 days then payment in full is required or a 50% deposit will need to be paid to secure the space on the course. To pay a 50% deposit, please contact Elixir Skin Training Ltd first, before making a purchase via the website. If the deposit is not made then space will not be secured. The outstanding 50% can be made in cash on the training day or business
bank transfer. Before making any payment, please contact Elixir Skin Training Ltd to make sure the space
you want is still available.
Following the purchase of a course, learners will be send their welcome document, terms and conditions, getting to know you document and an enrolment form. Learners are required to acknowledge receipt of these documents and return the enrolment form, getting to know you document, identification evidence and any certificates for exemptions, RPL or evidence of CPD accreditation. Without acknowledgement and return of these documents, learners cannot be registered with VTCT or Focus Awards awarding organisations.
It is vital to ensure that both learner and lead trainer from Elixir Skin Training Ltd communicate regularly on learner progress (online/in-person) to affectively manage the learning journey and to meet course planned end dates. Elixir Skin Training Ltd has a tailored approach to learning which is agreed upon enrolment to meet both the learner and Elixir Skin Training Ltd needs. If the learner experiences any concerns during the course which may impact communication, attendance or planned completion then it is vital to inform their lead trainer about this to ensure measurements can be put in place to support the learner and Elixir Skin Training Ltd, where possible and in line with agreed learning plan.
All courses must be completed within the agreed time frame at the time of booking. This includes all practical, case studies and theory. Any training to extend beyond this period will be subject to an extension charge. (varies per course)
Elixir Skin Training Ltd have the right to reschedule training courses where required, this may be due to staff illness or not enough students booked onto the training course. We will do our best to notify you of any changes to your training date ASAP.
Elixir Skin Training Ltd will support learners where possible with any personal issues, illness or any changes in circumstances as long as it is communicated to the lead trainer from Elixir Skin Training Ltd as soon as possible and measurements as well as regular communication is put in place to manage learner and Elixir Skin Training Ltd expectations around course completion.
A lack of communication from the learner or learning progress an/or failed attendance without agreed advance notice will result in course failure and withdrawal from the course. In this case, no refunds will be issued and the student will be liable to pay any outstanding fees. In this case, personal issues, illness or any changes in circumstances do not constitute as valid grounds for refunds. We regret that course fees or deposits can only be refunded in full if a course is cancelled by the training centre for any reason.
Course fees allows Elixir Skin Training Ltd to register learners with VTCT or Focus Awards awarding organisations, it allows access to a learner’s online learning portal and the course fees covers costs such as exams, equipment, products and other expenses to ensure learners receive the best course experience possible. Refunds to course fees are not possible as a result of the accrued costs above.
Courses can be purchased via PayPal which is a personal loan the learner takes out directly with PayPal. This agreement is subject to eligibility and credit checks and learners could get up to 4 months of interest free payments. The alternative is to apply for a 0% interest purchases credit card as our finance partners working with Elixir Skin Training Ltd are charging high interest at current. The agreement between the learner and PayPal or any other finance partner does not involve Elixir Skin Training Ltd.
Any outstanding fees are to be paid when learners attend their final practical assessments. Non-payment will result in the learner’s certificate being withheld or complete withdrawal from the course.
Learners and the lead trainer from Elixir Skin Training Ltd will agree suitable dates for practical assessments to meet learner needs and availability. If you are unable to attend the course on your scheduled date, we will do our very best to offer an alternative date if 4 weeks’ notice is given but this is subject to availability and it is not guaranteed.
Our training programmes are tailored to work with your schedule with no more than 2 trainees per session. A lot of resources, time and planning is put into arranging your training dates. If you are unable to attend confirmed practical training sessions without 4 weeks notice given, for any reason, you will lose your training allocation and will be required to pay 50% of the value of the training course to book new practical dates.
In the case of learner sickness up to one week of your course date, evidence will be required to move your date and an admin charge of £100 will apply for courses of up to £1000. Any course value over £1000 will be charged at 10% per day missed. Only ONE date change will be permitted.
Your trainer will be on hand for your support between their scheduled working hours only. Out of hours contact will be addressed on their next working day. Please do-not contact trainers on their personal contact numbers or social media out of hours.
You will be supplied with the fundamental knowledge during your training, which will enable you to carry out safe and effective procedures. You must take initiative when required and seek support from your trainer only when needed. Your trainer is there only to support your training needs. They will not be responsible for dealing with any of your personal issues related to your business.
Learners may be required to practice at home or in their own clinic to build on their skills before or after attending practical training days. Level 4 learners will be required to complete 3 x case studies per course as part of their portfolio completion.
Travel and accommodation costs are the responsibility of the learner alone.
Learners with any pre-existing medical conditions, learning difficulties or disabilities are required to disclose this at enrolment stage to ensure suitable measures (if possible) are in place to support learners.
Elixir Skin Training Ltd reserves the right to amend any courses and it’s content, structure and curriculum without prior notice to ensure compliance and relevance with Elixir Skin Training Ltd and VTCT or Focus Awards awarding organisation requirements.
Learners are required to adhere to the Beauty & Aesthetics Code of Conduct and Presentation requirements. Learner should be well-presented, in a tunic and to adhere to hygiene standards. Learners are to be professional in their behaviour towards others and respectful throughout the process, the same applies to Elixir Skin Training Ltd. Any disruption to others may result in course withdrawal.
Learners can notify Elixir Skin Training Ltd of any issues or complaints that may arise and this should be reported within 24 hours to info@elixirskintraining.co.uk. Elixir Skin Training Ltd will investigate and offer a resolution where applicable to any issues or complaints upon full investigation. If a learner is not satisfied with an assessment decision made by the lead trainer in regards to Ofqual regulated qualifications with VTCT or Focus Awards then the learner can raise a complaint with Elixir Skin Training Ltd (Internal Quality Assurance) team at info@elixirskintraining.co.uk. If the learner feels that their complaint has not been resolved then they can contact VTCT or Focus Awards directly and raise a complaint, if required.
Elixir Skin Training Ltd will aim to resolve all complaints internally first before involving external parties.
Learners to wear a black tunic, black trousers and closed black shoes. Hair tied back, jewellery kept to a minimum and nails kept short.
Elixir Skin Training Ltd provides lockers for learner to store their personal belongings during the course, learners are responsible for their own items and to return their locker key to Elixir Skin Training Ltd at the end of each day. Elixir Skin Training Ltd will not be held responsible for any loss of personal items.
Elixir Skin Training Ltd will provide models for practical training days, however, there may be instances whereby the learner will be required to bring models (if possible) or they may be required to be a model themself for other students.
There is no parking available on site, however paid parking is approximately £5.50- £8.50 per day and a 3-6 min walk. Details are provided on booking.
Attendance is mandatory for all practical training days and assessments, regardless of whether you are an experienced or new learner. Practical training days and assessments will take place from 09:00am to 17:00pm unless otherwise agreed with the lead trainer from Elixir Skin Training Ltd. All courses have a total of 30 minutes worth of breaks unless stated otherwise. Please don’t be late as it will interrupt the class. In case you are late, lead trainers are not accountable for your lost time by staying longer or working through lunch breaks. Any products or tools for the course are supplied by Elixir Skin Training and they are to be used during the classes only.
Purchasing a course does not guarantee completion and certification. Learners need to meet all assessment criteria, knowledge components and examination results (if applicable) as well as competence within practical assessments. You must agree to put in the time and effort required to perfect your skill. You will not be signed off as competent if it is thought that you have not applied enough time or dedication to your practice. Any extra training days that are required outside of the planned training schedule may be charged.
Examination and additional fees may be applicable if a learner fails their VTCT exams, they would be required to pay £15.50 per resit exam. Learners on Ofqual regulated courses such as VTCT will be required to purchase the VTCT Level 2 and Level 3 Textbook by Lorraine Nordmann to support in the completion of knowledge components. Further details of this will be provided when booking.
Learners must accept that there may be some extra costs associated with the training upon completion. For example, the purchase of extra kit, equipment or supplies.
Certificates such as CPD accreditation will be provided to learners at the end of their practical assessments and if they have successfully completed their course. VTCT and Focus Awards certification can take up to 6-8 weeks from course completion to take into account internal and external verification as well as certification and postage. Learners will receive their certificates via recorded and signed for delivery. Postage Fees of £8 is included when booking a course.
The Extractions Masterclass is a non-accredited course and will not have any certification.
Elixir Skin Training Ltd will not be held liable for any loss or damage to property or any injury or death except in cases of negligence by Elixir Skin Training Ltd. The services hereunder are offered by Elixir Skin Training Ltd, 6 Princess Road West, Leicester, LE1 6TP.
Non-compliance of these Terms and Conditions will be deemed a breach of agreement between Elixir Skin Training Ltd and it’s learners. Any modifications to any Terms and Conditions can only be made by Elixir Skin Training Ltd.
