Diamond-tip microdermabrasion

This is a minimally invasive procedure that uses a slightly abrasive instrument to gently exfoliate the skin, removing dead skin cells at the surface.

If you take the word apart, micro means small; derm is short for dermis and means skin; and abrasion means the process of scraping away. It literally means the process in which you use instruments to create microscopic abrasions in the skin to remove the thicker top layer of the skin.

The benefits of the treatment are endless. Smooth skin texture,  brighter complexion, reduced appearance of fine lines, evened out skin tone, reduced appearance of dark spots and cleaned-out pores.

Blueberry Peel

For sensitive skin types or those wanting a gentler alternative to microdermabrasion.

Blueberry Peel is part L-Lactic Acid peel and part manual scrub that gently buffs and polishes the skin, helping to soften and smooth rough, uneven skin texture. Leaving the skin with an even, balanced complexion and dramatically smoother texture.

Blueberry Peel is an antioxidant resurfacing treatment comparable to a micro-dermabrasion with added benefits. It has the same resurfacing action but instead of relying on physical abrasion uses Lactic Acid and fruit enzymes to soften the skin enabling the jojoba beads to gentle buff away debris and surface cells. All while infusing the skin with antioxidants from real Blueberries.

Dermaplaning

Dermaplaning is an effective and safe exfoliation procedure, that uses a sterile surgical scalpel to remove excess dead skin and vellus peach fuzz hairs. The procedure is only performed on the face. The procedure makes skin look and feel smoother and will reduces the appearance of acne scars.

Vellus hairs are a type of human that are fine, short, light coloured or translucent, and non pigmented that develop from childhood and are found on most areas of the body. Their growth is not, in contrast to terminal hairs, affected or dictated by hormones. Vellus hair is the technical term for “Peach Fuzz”, Vellus hairs are usually no longer than two millimetres, and their follicles are not associated with sebaceous glands. The shafts of vellus hairs are roughly the same or smaller than their internal root sheaths while the bulb of the follicle are located at the upper dermal part of the skin.

Hair does not grow back thicker and it is recommended for those who do not do any other hair removal on their face. (Upper lip and eyebrow shaping is fine)

None Invasive Carboxytherapy

Non-Invasive Carboxytherapy is a treatment during which a gas, carbon dioxide (CO2), is infused into the skin to encourage an increased flow of oxygen. Carbon dioxide is a naturally occurring gas in the body and as such it can not cause any allergic or other unwanted reactions.

By infusing carbon dioxide into the skin, an acidic environment develops. This signals our organism to secure oxygen to the tissue in the treated region and accumulate natural growth factors (vascular endothelial growth factors). Within several days after the treatment there is an increased natural distribution of oxygen in the places of application, a completely new microcirculation is created, lymphoid drainage is increased and in this way skin regeneration is achieved in a natural way.

Pre treatment advice:

• Please come to your appointment with clean skin, free of makeup.
• Please do not drink alcohol 24 hours prior to the treatment.
• Please avoid blood thinning medications 48 hours prior to treatment. These include aspirin, ibuprofen, Advil and other anti-inflammatory drugs. Never stop taking medication prescribed by your doctor without his or her consent.
• Facial waxing may be performed no less than 48 hours before the procedure, no less .
• Electrolysis treatment should be undergone no less than 7 days before the procedure.
• AHA products and retinoids should be avoided no less than 2 weeks prior to the procedure.
• Microdermabrasion should not be performed within 2 weeks of procedure.
• Laser treatments and associated peels may occur no less than 4-6 weeks prior to procedure.
• Please wait 2 weeks if you have had Botox or dermal filler injections
• No sun beds or direct sunlight at least 1 week before or after having any treatments.
• Please do-not come to the appointment if you feel unwell, have a fever, sickness bug, cold or flu.
